Africa Wild Coast Volunteer Teaching
This South Africa volunteer programme provides an excellent opportunity to work with African children and contribute to the local communities in a positive way.
The programme is based in the Wild Coast region of South Africa, which remains largely undeveloped and rural. The communities have a large number of underprivileged children, with access to education, resources and equal opportunities being limited. |
| The community volunteer project tackles these challenges by splitting into 2 parts, with international volunteers being able to teach children computer skills and teach them sports too. If schools lack computers then the project will help supply them so that the children are encouraged to use them in all areas of their learning.
LocationThe Wild Coast region is situated between Durban and East London on the east coast of South Africa. Located in what was the Transkei homeland, the Wild Coast boasts some of the most dramatic coastline in Africa.
Accommodation and MealsDuring your project, you will be staying across the lagoon and facing a green, in a fantastic house in a quiet suburban area just 2 minutes from the beach.
All of your meals on the project will be provided by a house cook, who is employed locally to help you keep the house clean and prepare your meals.

Programme Summary:
Depending upon skills you can teach computer skills, teach sport etc. Set within a spectacular beach location, your help as a volunteer will encourage children from extremely deprived areas.
