Rocky Mountain High - 21 days

This unique tour takes you on an adventure through the American Rockies from top to bottom. Experience the mountains, national parks, deserts, cities and cowboy country.

Our journey begins in Seattle, the Emerald City. We head straight into the Cascade Mountains and Mt Rainier National Park. Enjoy this beautiful place on one of the many nature hikes.

From Washington State we follow the Snake River, one of America’s most scenic and wild rivers into the “Big Sky” countryside of Montana. On the America/Canadian border we explore Glacier National Park truly a gem of the trip! This park offers an amazing start to our journey down the spine of the Rocky Mountains.

Experience a sky full of stars when we spend a night on a real Western Ranch before we head south to Yellowstone National Park. Set your watch by Old Faithful geyser, get stuck in a buffalo traffic jam and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature including the many geothermal pools. From the wilds of Yellowstone we continue south through the beautiful Grand Teton National Park. We experience the Wild West in Jackson, Wyoming before heading into the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Enjoy the beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park before trying your hand at white water rafting on the Snake or Arkansas Rivers. From our thrilling experience we continue along some spectacular mountain roads on our way through old gold rush towns including Telluride and Ouray.

Before leaving Colorado we have a chance to look back through time to discover ancient Indian culture in Mesa Verde National Park. Into Utah we head for Monument Valley for a guided tour with the Navajo Indians,

Next stop, the Grand Canyon National Park. Two days in this huge park are just enough to see the canyon by foot or by air. From the dusty desert we head for the deep blue waters of Lake Powell. A place to relax, unwind and take in the water sports. Our last national park stop of the trip is in awe-inspiring Zion National Park. Soak up the scenery through one of the many nature hikes before we head into the bright lights and big city of Las Vegas.
Enjoy the activities and excitement of Las Vegas before we head for the Pacific Coast and Los Angeles. We enjoy a tour of Hollywood before we end our trip.

Meals
You will contribute to a food kitty of $9 per day. This will provide for 3 meals a day usually; eating fresh food that we purchase as we travel to satisfy the international flavour of the group- a healthy way to travel at an unbeatable price. While on the tour you will take turns cooking meals.
