Western Sun - 20 days Experience the true beauty of the American Southwest from the amazing national parks and canyons of Zion, Yosemite and Grand Canyon to the unique desert scenery of Death Valley and Joshua Tree National Park and Tucson Arizona. Take in the glittering cities of Las Vegas, San Francisco, LA and San Diego.
We start our trip in Hollywood and Beverly Hills- home of the stars before heading up the cost to Santa Barbara. We carry on up the famous coastal route to “the city by the bay” San Francisco. Our 2-night stop gives us enough time to take in this funky city before heading inland to the home of Half Dome-Yosemite National Park. This beautiful park is nestled in the Sierra Nevadas and is truly a nature lovers’ paradise complete with waterfalls, cliff top climbs and many great hikes.
From Yosemite we head directly south through the San Joaquin Valley and into Death Valley National Park. In summertime this place is the hottest on Earth, but a visit in the winter offers incredible sunsets, crystal clear night skies, great hikes and a chance to take in the sights from Dante's View, Great Sand Dunes, Zabriskie Point and the Golden Canyon. Next stop “Sin City” Las Vegas. Try your luck on the slots, cruise the strip or take in the nightlife.
We leave the city and head for the majestic Zion and Grand Canyon national parks. Hike the Bright Angel Trail or go to the Emerald Pools. Here you will have a chance to experience Native American tradition by staying in an authentic Navajo Hogan in the Monument Valley region.
Heading south we enter the striking scenery of the Sonoran Desert. Here you have the option to camp with the local cowboys-an experience not to be missed. From our evening round the campfire we continue on to Tucson and the living Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. This place is home to the giant Saguaro cactus groves.
We journey back into Southern California and stop at Joshua Tree National Park on our way back to the coast. This incredible place is home to great rock formations and of course Joshua Trees. Enjoy the amazing desert vistas before we hit San Diego. Enjoy the Gaslamp quarter, beautiful beaches, SeaWorld or the world-renowned San Diego zoo. We head back to Los Angeles on the final leg of our journey to enjoy a day at Disneyland, an incredible end to an amazing journey.

Meals
You will contribute to a food kitty of $9 per day. This will provide for 3 meals a day usually; eating fresh food that we purchase as we travel to satisfy the international flavour of the group- a healthy way to travel at an unbeatable price. While on the tour you will take turns cooking meals.
