What was the most memorable moment of your trip? Working in the favela with the kids, they really get a lot from our help and love us teaching them. Did your project and destination meet your expectations? Yes, also hoping to go back and see all the friends I met along the way. Met many Brazilian people and made friends, they took me to see the favelas Rochina as I was very interested in them. Went and had a nice meal high up in the favela and went to many of the baile funks. How have you benefited from your experience? Became more independent and can now speak Portuguese, realised how different other peoples life can be and how interesting the Brazilian people are. What advice could you offer to someone considering this project? Get the most out of it and enjoy. Go to Brazil with an open mind and you will have a fantastic time.
