Where should I go? Australia has some magnificent places waiting to be discovered by you. These include the Whitsunday Islands, the Great Barrier Reef, Uluru/Ayers Rock, Bondi Beach and Sydney as a whole and cosmopolitan Brisbane.
When is the best time to go? In Sydney it's great anytime, even when the weather isn't!! One of the attractions of Australia is that it has a year-round climate, meaning there is always somewhere warm for backpackers to head to.
Who goes on the Oz Experience? These passes are ideal for every type of traveller, whether you are a gap year student, a career gapper or on a working holiday. These passes offer all the flexibility needed to work and travel Australia, at a price meeting a backpacker budget.
Which Experience pass? Because there are many passes to choose from, each with a different starting point, you should choose whichever pass best suits your plans and budget. Feel free to contact us at Real Gap if you need any advice.
How do the passes work? We will issue you with a voucher, which will be exchanged for a ticket on your first day on the bus. We can either get you booked on to start your trip on a set date, or we can issue you with an open-dated voucher so that you can book on-line or with a simple phone call when you are ready. It is a hop-on, hop-off service, so you can redeem each part of your pass whenever you wish, as the pass is valid for a full year!
Are activities included in the price? Some activities are included, such as short kayaking trips, a half-day surf lesson or treks led by your guide. You will have assistance in getting activities such a bungee jumping, skydiving and heli-hiking organised, which you will pay for as you go.
Is accommodation included? Accommodation is not included in the price of the passes, but your guide will organise accommodation at all the overnight stops on the itinerary and book ahead for you to ensure a quick and easy check in!
On some of the passes, there is a `pay on board fee' to cover some food, accommodation, national park entry and ferry costs.
I'm travelling on my own, what will it be like? Oz Experience is great if you are on your own as it is a really socialable way to travel. You will meet different people as you hop-on and off from all parts of the world!
