Reviews

Marie Taguchi-Porteous, 10th - 15th May 2010

What were the highlights of your trip?
SUNSHINE!!! The instructors at the surf school were brilliant, funny, encouraging people who didn't pressure anyone in the slightest. We were all allowed to progress at our own pace, and weren't frowned on when we didn't want to try anymore. Easily a highlight of my time in Australia.

Do you have 3 top tips for future travellers?
If you're heading up the East Coast, this trip is a brilliant way to get to Byron Bay. You get to see beaches you wouldn't normally find, get to learn how to surf at your own pace, and have an absolutely awesome time on the SAUCE (you'll find out what sauce is when you get there, fantastic stuff ;-) DO book accommodation for 1 night before you leave for Byron Bay. It'll be cheaper, and then you can figure out where you want to stay from then on in the morning. CHEEKY MONKEYS!!!

What were the highlights of your trip?
Getting up at 6am to go surfing and watch the sunrise was pretty amazing, and when we saw dolphins whilst we were out surfing. But the whole trip was awesome.

Do you have 3 top tips for future travellers?
Just throw yourself into it; don't hesitate; and just enjoy yourself, as it goes so quickly!
