Meals are included throughout the three-day boat trip on days 4-6 and healthy filling food will be provided with vegetarians being able to be catered for.

Free time

Your evenings (except on the boat) will be yours to do what you want. You can choose to either stay around the hostel and chill out with other travellers or head out into Cairns for dinner and sample the brilliant nightlife!

The dive instructors will be taking good care of you. They have many years of experience and can offer you lots of individual attention in and out of the water to ensure your safety. They are there with you and for you during the whole trip so they can help with any advice you may need or questions you have.

As well as this, you are can also contact the UK office 24 hours a day on our emergency number if you need to.

Project Age Limit

Minimum is 16 years (all under 18 year olds must have parental consent); maximum decided on potential participants health.

Programme Requirements

You must be able to swim and be in good health. It is a requirement when you learn to dive in Queensland that you attain the Australian Standard Dive Medical (AS4005.1). To avoid any disappointment we suggest that you do this medical prior to commencement of the programme. Alternatively it can be arranged for you to do this on Day 1 of your dive course. Some medical conditions could prevent you from diving, for example, asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, and lung or heart disease.

Project Support

Throughout your stay you will have the support and guidance of your local project coordinator and team. You will be provided with competent assistance and help with any questions or advice you may need during your stay. In addition you will have access to a 24 hour emergency contact number so you can contact one of our UK staff at any time should you need to.
