Join Real Gap’s PADI Scuba Diving Course for the chance to spend seven exhilarating days gaining an internationally recognised PADI qualification in one of the most excellent places in the world to Scuba Dive – the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns, Northern Queensland.

Spend your time relaxing in Cairns, enjoying a fun five-day course including a three-day/two night live-a-board trip to the Outer Great Barrier Reef and scuba dive amongst stunning tropical marine life.

Project Age Limit
Minimum is 16 years (all under 18 year olds must have parental consent); maximum decided on potential participants health.

Programme Requirements
You must be able to swim and be in good health. It is a requirement when you learn to dive in Queensland that you attain the Australian Standard Dive Medical (AS4005.1). To avoid any disappointment we suggest that you do this medical prior to commencement of the programme. Alternatively it can be arranged for you to do this on Day 1 of your dive course. Some medical conditions could prevent you from diving, for example, asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, and lung or heart disease.

Programme Support
The dive instructors will be taking good care of you. They have many years of experience and can offer you lots of individual attention in and out of the water to ensure your safety. They are there with you and for you during the whole trip so they can help with any advice you may need or questions you have.

As well as this, you are can also contact the UK office 24 hours a day on our emergency number if you need to.
