Australia Surf and Sun Combo

Spend an amazing, action-packed month (or more!) in Australia. This programme provides all the structure that you need together with flexibility and the opportunity to incorporate some independent travelling if you want. A perfect choice for those who have limited time or just want a break for a month with Loads of included organised activities and help when you need it. You choose when and where you travel and what sort of activities you experience.

The Programme
This programme incorporates a number of activities and projects allowing you an exciting, fun and hassle free trip to Oz. We will assign you a personal travel advisor who will coordinate your programme and you can contact them at any time before you go, or indeed when you are on your travels.

On arrival into Sydney you will be met at the airport and have 7 days of organised activities with a group of like-minded people seeing the best sights in the City and making some great friends! After your first week in Sydney you can choose whether to stay on for a while or start your surf school where you’ll get the chance to become a true Aussie surfer whilst travelling up to Byron Bay, stopping at some of Australia’s best surf spots along the way. Once you’ve reached Byron Bay you can, again, choose whether to chill out for a bit or carry straight up the east coast on the Oz Experience Bus. The bus pass takes you the whole way up to tropical Cairns in Northern Queensland where you can decide whether to stay on for longer or fly home.

Accommodation
During your 7 in Sydney nights you will stay in an ultra modern hostel in shared accommodation. It’s conveniently located right next to Central station, and nearby you will find plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. It’s the perfect base for anyone visiting Sydney! You will receive breakfast each day, as well as dinner on your first day, and lunch on day five. For all other meals, you will be able to either cook in the fully equipped kitchen at the hostel, or sample some of Sydney’s great eateries, which cater for all tastes and budgets.

5 day surf school from Sydney to Byron Bay
You have the chance to spend 5 fantastic days learning to surf at some of Australia’s most pristine white sand beaches. Travelling the New South Wales north coast; living a surfer's dream of freedom, travel, good waves and good times – nothing could be better!

The surf school adventure
You will travel from Sydney to Byron Bay. A large number of backpackers travel along this route, however many of them unknowingly miss out on some of the most beautiful parts of New South Wales. Taking part in this trip ensures you don’t miss out!

We will find the best un-crowded waves for progressing your surfing from beginner to advanced.
You will get full surfing tuition from our expert and accredited level one surf coaches. Our instructors will take you through all the basics and by the end of the week you will have learnt the following:

Through being patient, making the experience fun, the right waves, the right equipment and continual, professional tuition throughout your trip, you'll be surfing in no time.

Accommodation and Meals
Cabin accommodation is provided for three nights, starting at a purpose built surf camp. Here you will be staying at Seal Rocks renowned for its great waves and natural beauty. The surf camp is nestled between stunning national parks, here the lakes merge with the crystal ocean waters and there is kilometres of unspoilt, un-crowded beach. This beach is accessible by four-wheel drives borrowed from the surf camp. The camp also has some boats that you may be able to take out.

Surf camp features;

As you travel the coast, you will stay in other cabin locations situated by the best-uncrowded waves the north coast has to offer and one night will be beachside camping within the remote Yuraygir national park – an amazing experience not to be missed! Upon arrival into Byron Bay your accommodation is guaranteed (payable when you arrive), and it is a great place to spend a few days practising your new surfing skills and chilling out with your new friends!

All meals are included from the great Aussie barbeque, beach buffets, salads, pastas and vegetarian options.

Oz Experience Bus Pass from Byron Bay to Cairns
The hop on, hop off Oz Experience bus is an awesome way to travel this incredible country. You will meet loads of fellow travellers and see all the sights!

Start from Byron Bay or Brisbane and head to Cairns. Visit Byron Bay and cruise through Surfers paradise to Brisbane, overnight in Hervey Bay, stay at an Aussie cattle station, and much more.
