Black Rhino and Elephant Conservation Zimbabwe
Project Location The Safari Ranch is just 105 kms by road east of the bustling city of Harare, Zimbabwe.
Country Zimbabwe borders Zambia and Victoria Falls and is a diverse and exhilarating destination. In just one visit you could experience walking with lions, visit a pristine wildlife reserve that is home to hundreds of tropical species of birds and animals, learn to scuba dive or enjoy the thrill of white water rafting and other adrenaline sports. Having an understanding and willingness to adapt to Zimbabwe’s unique situation is essential. Zimbabwe is a country where much help is needed to protect and maintain what is left of their dwindling wildlife resources.
Free Time During your free time at the weekends on the ranch you can enjoy extra outdoor activities including fishing right on your doorstep, bird watching, rock climbing, horse riding, canoeing and much more. Alternatively, you can just relax in the lodge and spend time with the animals.
Being in Zimbabwe means that you are close to the Victoria Falls, which is a major starting point for tours through Africa. Why not join an overland tour after your volunteer project and further explore the amazing sights that Africa has to offer you. From 3-day mini trips to a mammoth 56- day epic, we have the perfect tour to suit your needs and leave you with unforgettable memories of Africa. Please speak to the Africa team for further details.
Getting There You will need to arrange your flights into Harare airport where you will be met by your project representative and transferred by road to the Safari Ranch.
