Bolivia Youth Volunteer Project
This programme offers a great opportunity to work with orphaned teenagers as a volunteer in Bolivia. You can help children aged 5 to 18 develop manual skills that they can use to gain employment after they leave the centre.
All children at the home are orphaned and volunteers are desperately needed to help build their confidence and to pass on any skills that will brighten their future.
The Volunteer Role
Volunteers are desperately needed to help the children to develop their manual skills. Your work hours are varied; you can work either in the mornings, afternoons, evenings or weekends. Your day to day activities vary according to you interests and volunteers must be flexible and have some experience of working with adolescents.
Volunteers are needed in the following areas: administration, secretarial work, psychology department, English professors and above all, people who know carpentry, shoe making, metallurgy and leather working. Also needed are those familiar with music, computers and/or sports instruction, such as: baseball, basketball and football.

Project Location
This project is located in the beautiful and lively colonial city of Sucre; one of the principal cities in Bolivia. With countless museums, shops restaurants, bars, clubs, and a lively central plaza, there is never a shortage of things to do!
Accommodation & Meals
Our volunteer apartment is located 8 blocks from the volunteer project. You can request a shared or private room, but will share a bathroom, kitchen and living room with other volunteers.
Meals are not included on this programme, usually volunteers take it in turns to cook meals or simply eat out at local restaurants, which are very cheap by western standards.
