Gap Year Brochure

Besides great scenery, one has the opportunity to see various exotic birds, plants, insects, and animals due to Bolivia's relatively sparse population, lack of development and diverse geography. Also Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable inland sea in the world. Boasting crystal blue waters, reed boats and islands known for pre-Colombian ruins.

Real Gap's Bolivia Highlights

Sucre
Sucre is the beautiful colonial judicial capital located in the Andean highlands of Bolivia. Known as the "White City of the Americas" due to its numerous colonial buildings, all of which are painted in white and topped with shiny red tile roofs. Sucre is a great place to learn Spanish, experience the local cultures, make friends, all of this is possible on our Cultral and Language Experience Programme.

You could spend some time bringing happiness to abandonned and orphaned children in Bolivia on the Sucre Orphanage Volunteer Project or work with orphaned teenagers to improve their skills on the Bolivia Youth Volunteer Project, give them the support and guidence they have never had.

Map of Bolivia

Santa Cruz
Santa Cruz is a tropical city, 12 hours from the city of Cochabamba by bus, and 50 minutes by plane, you see the magnificent mountains of the Occidental Real when you travel to the fastest growing city in Bolivia. Experience the real Amazon jungle whilst on the Animal Rescue Project, located between these two Bolivian Cities.

Lake Titicaca
Beautiful blue water, reflecting the surrounding mountains, a must see if you are in the area. A trip on the lake by boat is highly reccommended. Bolivia makes a superb destination to travel on your gap year with it's diverse, magnificent scenery. After completing a volunteer programme why not continue to travel around South America on our Complete South America Gap Year.
