Day 1:
Arrive at Kota Kinabalu Airport and be met and transferred to a hostel for the night in a twin bedded/dorm room.

Day 2: In the morning the group will take a drive over the ridges of Crocker Range to reach Malaysia’s first World Heritage Site, Kinabalu National Park. There will be time to explore the cool and scenic surroundings before continuing onto the gateway to the wildlife paradise of Borneo, Sandakan. Overnight at a B & B. (B/L/D)

Day 3: Today you will visit a world famous Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre where you will watch a video show before proceeding to the feeding platform to witness orang-utan feeding. Lunch will be in Sandakan before getting a boat transfer to an eco-lodge along the Kinabatangan, the longest river in Sabah. In the afternoon you will be treated to a River safari cruise. Overnight in Eco-lodge. (B/L/D)

Day 4 – 5: These days will be spent taking part in Orang-utan and Elephant tracking and data collection. Also, there will be time for a short morning visit to local primary local school for an orientation. Overnight in Eco-lodge. (B/L/D)

Day 6: The morning can be spent relaxing and getting ready for a fun packed afternoon. In the afternoon the group will get the opportunity to learn jungle survival skills, while exploring the lush green secondary forest in a full day ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ activity. Overnight in Eco-lodge. (B/L/D)

Day 7 – 8:
Two full days will be spent orang-utan and elephant tracking and collecting data. Overnight in Eco-lodge. (B/L/D)

Day 9: Free time. Overnight in Eco-lodge. (B/L/D)

Day 10: Today you will visit a local village primary school where you will give a presentation and educate children on Wildlife habitat. Overnight at Eco-lodge. (B/L/D)

Day 11: Participate in tree planting project. Overnight at Eco-lodge. (B/L/D)

Day 12: Today you will depart Sukau for Sandakan overland. Upon arrival at Sandakan you will check-in to your accommodation and stay overnight. (B/L)

Day 13:
Today is spent at your own leisure exploring Sandakan or organising an extra tour before arranging onwards travel for the next day. (L)

Day 14: Check out of hostel and departure. (B)
