Brazil Environment Education and Theatre Onboard
The environmental classes will be held onboard an equipped school boat and at local schools in different communities enabling you to explore the astonishing islands of Cairu, Brazil.
Volunteer RoleOn board the boat, you will travel around the islands of the archipelago visiting different schools. The boat is a fully equipped school boat enabling you to teach environmental education to the children and the importance of preserving the environment.
In the mornings you will teach environmental education in a fun and interactive way to the children either at their school or onboard the boat. You will work alongside two local teachers who are in need of help to develop these activities with the children. Many of the activities organised will be outdoors so that the children can learn about the environment through fun games.
After lunch, you will go to the forests to plant endangered tree species with the children. The trees planted will be recorded and monitored and will aid in environmental research of the area.
