Cairu Cairu is an archipelago county in southern Salvador, Bahia. Composed of 26 islands, it presents a vast ecosystem diversity including mangroves, dunes, coral reefs, beaches and forests. Due to its ecological importance, part of this county was integrated into an area of Environmental Preservation in 1992.
Free Time With free time at the weekends this is the perfect opportunity to explore these amazing islands. Once in Cairu County, you will have many different options for your free weekends, from remote beaches and traditional fishermen communities (Garapuá and Pratigi), to structured communities with an intense night life (Morro de Sao Paulo and Boipeba), you will always find somewhere interesting to stay.
There are plenty of restaurants and hotels/guesthouses for you to choose from if you wish to stay away at the weekend. The onsite staff will be able to help you to organise your weekend. You should allow around £15 per day for food and accommodation at weekends and a little extra for any activities you may wish to do.
Getting There You will need to organise your flights to Salvador Airport (Dois de Julho), where you will be met and transferred to your accommodation.
