Brazil Youth Outreach
Many of Rio's children live in great poverty, their families struggling to make the means to buy even the basic necessities. This project works closely with these children giving them education and leisure activities, improving their future prospects.
Volunteer RoleVolunteers will be working with underpriviledged children in the city of Rio de Janeiro. What you are asked to do on a day-to-day basis will depend on the needs of the project at the time, although you can expect to be involved in activities such as:
- Sports coaching
- Telling stories
- Helping teach drama
- Teaching English
- Arts and crafts
- Games
- Helping dance workshops
- Medical attendance
Language SchoolWith over 33 years of experience teaching Portuguese, the language school, one of Brazils largest, has courses designed specifically for foreign students who need to learn the language for professional and personal use. Courses can be tailored to the students' individual needs
Project Location Rio de janeiro, Brazil
Accommodation and MealsYou will stay with a host family who will provide you with meals 2 a day (breakfast and dinner). All host families are interviewed and vetted and recieve an orientation on their obligations the their guests.

Programme OverviewDuration: 2 weeks £649, 4 weeks £849
How to book & pay: £195 deposit to secure place, balance due 12 weeks before departure.

What is not included? Travel to and from Brazil Weekend trips Lunch Visa fees, if necessary Transfer back to airport Travel Insurance Spending money | Programme Summary: This project aims to assist children with their education as well as encouraging them to be proactive in other areas.
Arrival dates: First Monday of every month from February onwards.
