Buddy List
|

|
Going travelling or taking part in a project will be a fantastic experience and you're guaranteed to come back with more tales than you can tell. But in the weeks before you go away, you're likely to feel a bit apprehensive, particularly if you're going to be travelling alone, which is why we've created the buddy list!
Signing up to the buddy list
Signing up to the buddy list means your email address will be available to other people who are travelling to the same project as you and will be there when you are.
Et voilà, you can contact a whole group of people who are probably worrying about exactly the same things as you!
It's up to you how much contact you want to make with your fellow participants.

On a more practical note, the buddy list allows you to make arrangements to take different things and save on weight (if one person brings a guide book, for example, another could bring a pack of cards), share lifts to the airport if you live in the same area or book the same flight.
If you've signed up to a teaching programme and are wondering what on earth you're going to teach your pupils, a brainstorming session with your fellow buddy list volunteers will do wonders for your confidence. |
Like most worries, travel fears seem much smaller when they're shared and having a buddy will leave you free to relax and look forward to one of the best experiences of your life.
Signing up to the buddy list is entirely optional and only your email address will be passed on.
Real Gap Advisers will be happy to talk to you about the buddy list scheme. You can opt out of the buddy list by ticking the box on the booking form at the back of the Real Gap brochure or letting us know at the time of booking.
