Working in small groups, you’ll have all practical and theoretical lessons on the mountain, in preparation for your exams (detailed above). The course operates 4-5 days a week, with the weekends off for personal skiing or to join scheduled trips with other programme students. The course has a detailed itinerary, broken into set weeks, to ensure that you complete all elements of the leadership programme. Although this needs to remain flexible according to local conditions, it should look like the following:
    Arrival – Orientation - Party

Week 1 – Orientation with introduction to CSIA skills; fast track to parallel progression

Week 2 - Ski improvement and teaching skills

Week 3 - Avalanche Safety Training certification; carving and race training

Week 4 - CSIA Level I Instructor course – if you are successful, it will be possible to do optional work if you meet certain criteria i.e. possession of valid working visa

    End of programme party –Departure
