This volunteer programme is based in three locations in the vast and stunning country of Canada. Whether you choose to spend your time in the world famous Whistler area, the buzzing metropolis of Vancouver or the beautiful traditional city of London, Ontario, you will find fun and fulfilment working in these prestigious international camps.

As a camp counsellor, you will have the opportunity to interact with a lively group of children eager for new experiences as well as having plenty of time off to make the most of your incredible location.

Project Age Limit
Minimum 18 years, maximum decided on potential participants’ health.

Visa Requirements
Participants must be in university, graduated from university in the last 12 months or going to university in the next 12 months to qualify for the working visa to Canada.

The Camp Programme
This programme gives you the chance to spend time in one of three stunning Canadian locations whilst contributing your energies to the running of some of the most popular, respected and well-run activity camps in Canada.

You will be helping to look after the young campers, supporting them in their day-to-day lives and leading a range of adventure activities. As a camp mentor, you will find yourself being looked up to as a role model by the children who will rely on you to direct and take care of them while they are away from home, learning a new language, new skills and making friends.

The project offers so many benefits to volunteers, which makes the positions highly sought after. If you are lucky enough to secure a place, you will reap a host of benefits, including volunteer experience with children.

Whistler, Vancouver and Ontario Camps
The camps in Whistler and Vancouver focus on sports, skills and interests that you, as the counsellor, bring to camp. Past activities have included arts and crafts, football, volleyball, basketball, swimming and running.

The camp in London, Ontario is focused on horseback riding and tennis. Counsellors will not lead these activities unless they are experts in these fields.

Additionally there is an Adventure Camp in Whistler that consists of 13-17 year old English or non-English speakers. Counsellors will be responsible for leading Extreme Sport activities such as kayaking, rock climbing, wilderness hikes and camping, mountain biking, etc. Great for outdoor enthusiasts!
