Canadian Pioneer - 14 Days

This fantastic East Coast tour follows the trade routes of the Native Americans and the paths of early New World settlers. With an easy pace we visit back-woods towns, bustling cities and traditional fishing villages rich in colonial history.

We begin our tour leaving New York City heading straight for the scenic Finger Lakes region of New York State. After taking in the beautiful lakes and surrounding scenery we head for the awesome natural attraction of Niagara Falls. The falls straddle the American/Canadian border and are truly an amazing sight to behold! Get as close as you dare on the “Maid of the Mist” boat ride which takes you to the base of these mighty falls.

From the majestic falls we travel to Canada's largest city, Toronto. Enjoy a baseball game or enjoy the best view in the city from the top of the world's tallest freestanding structure, the CN Tower.

Leaving Toronto we continue our journey to the pristine Ontario wilderness where we take part in an unforgettable canoe trip in Algonquin Provincial Park. With thousands of possible canoe routes to enjoy we truly get a chance to explore this great Canadian wilderness. If your outdoor needs are not yet satisfied try an exhilarating white water rafting trip on the Ottawa River!

Into the capital of Ottawa we have a chance to witness the changing of the guards on Parliament Hill. After enjoying the old town of Ottawa we continue north to the second largest city in Canada, Montreal. In a city where French is spoken more than English we truly feel the culture all around us. This ‘European style’ city has a lovely feel with its narrow streets and cafes. If you are in the market for something a bit more daring try a thrilling jet boat ride on the Lachine Rapids!

We cross the St Lawrence Seaway and head for the American East Coast. We journey across  'moose country' into the only national park in New England, Acadia National Park. Take in the beautiful cliffs and coastline in a sea kayak; hike the trails that wind you through the mountains and coastal trails or cycle through the park to truly enjoy the beauty.

We finish our journey by heading down the coast back to New York City.
