Community Volunteer Projects Ghana
This community volunteer programme allows you to gain an invaluable experience, working and living amongst the people of Ghana in rural villages, thus obtaining a true cultural insight into this wonderful country and its special communities.
Through this programme, you will have the opportunity to work in the very rural areas of Ghana (the true Africa), and can choose from a wide range of projects, including teaching, medical and healthcare, HIV/AIDS awareness and education, women’s programmes, orphanages or non-governmental organisations in Ghana.

During your Ghana volunteer placement, you will receive a full orientation upon arrival to prepare you for your stay and then absorb the Ghanaian way of life by living amongst the local families and helping to develop and support their valuable communities.
LocationRural villages and towns in Ghana, close to larger towns and cities.
Accommodation & Meals
During your project, you will have the fantastic opportunity to live with a local family close to where you work – usually in the same suburb.
This will provide you with the unique opportunity to fully integrate and experience a cultural immersion by living with a local, English speaking Ghanaian family. Typically this will be with their young children and extended family. They will be on hand to help you and also show you around the local area and make you feel at home.
Your host family will provide meals, though you may have to buy lunch.
