The project is offered in the states of Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh, India.
Country
India is wonderfully rich in culture. Its scenery is varied and exciting, with a colourful, vibrant culture, influenced by traditional Hindu religion, mixed with aromatic spices of the east, Yoga, Meditation, music and its many festivals. It’s astonishing to think that the fast paced city of Delhi is part of the same country as the peaceful mountain villages in the Himalaya Range.
India really is a country that you need to experience first-hand – hearing or reading about it is not enough!
Free Time
There will be plenty for you to do in your free time. There will be access to special workshops on aspects of Indian culture including yoga and Indian cooking. Some volunteers take up the opportunity to borrow a bicycle and tour the local countryside. Some plan excursions to local points of interest, whereas others will just take the time to relax. Most Friday evenings, volunteers arrange a small party or get together to celebrate the end of the working week.
Getting There
You will need to fly to New Delhi airport where you will be personally met and taken to the hotel.
