Community Volunteer Projects Ghana
Project Location Small rural villages and suburbs of larger towns and cities in Ghana.
Ghana Ghana is renowned for its gracious people and is a peaceful and welcoming country that blends both modern and traditional life. Ghanaians are said to be the friendliest people in West Africa: Warm, proud and humble, with a contagious and calming sense of humour. Just by observing life in Ghana, you will learn a great deal and see the true Africa, taking home with you experiences and memories to last a lifetime.
Weekend Travel During your stay in Ghana you will want to take some time out to visit the interesting sights and local areas Ghana has to offer. You will be fine to take time out during your weekends, though please make sure you discuss this with your coordinator and keep your host family informed at all times. Like any family, they will naturally worry about you and be keen to have you home!
Getting There You will need to arrange your flights to arrive into Katoka Airport in Accra, Ghana. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our Ghanaian project coordinator, who will take you to the hotel to begin your orientation. You will need to make your own way back to Accra upon departure and fly home from Katoka Airport.
