Why learn Spanish in Costa Rica?
A basic knowledge of Spanish is essential for any person who wishes to travel in Central or South America. This is true for all countries, whether they are developed like Argentina or are less developed like Bolivia. However, if you wish to volunteer on a social placement too, a good comprehension of the language would be required in order to interact with the local people.

Your Spanish will improve fast by living with a local family, as there are so many opportunities to practise what you have learnt. You have a single room but will share family meals and gatherings, traditional dishes, and much more.
