Costa Rica Spanish and Salsa
You will be accommodated with a local Costa Rican family so by taking part in this programme you will be totally immersed in Latin American culture providing you with a truly memorable experience!
The ProgrammeYour programme will include Spanish classes from Monday to Thursday for 5 hours per day; afternoon dance classes at the language school and additional dance classes at the dance academy 4 times a week from 5:30 to 7:00pm. Your days will be jam-packed and you will find that your Spanish and dance abilities improve in no time!
The dance academy
On your first day at the dance academy your dance ability will be assessed in order to place you into the appropriate class. The academy is a friendly, well-known, professional dance school that teaches all levels from beginners to advance, so there is no need to worry if you are a beginner or have two left feet! You will be taking part in group classes and many of your dance partners will be local Costa Ricans!
The Academy uses a unique method of teaching known as the Merecumbé method, it's a dancing style that combines Colombian Merengue and Cumbia. The combination of the two makes for a fun and exciting Latin dance experience! All the teaching staff at the academy have a broad experience as popular dancers and have received rigorous training.
Your Spanish Classes
Classes are small (generally of 3 to 4 students) and active participation training provides the flexibility to meet your individual needs. The classes consider Spanish as a whole and as well as there being an emphasis on speaking abilities, they also take into account grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, pragmatic use and cultural understanding.

Accommodation and MealsYour accommodation will be with a home stay family, if you are travelling with a friend we can also try to accommodate you at the same home stay.
Your home stay family will provide you with breakfast and dinner each day including at the weekends.
