Real Gap's Costa Rica Highlights

The city of San Jose
San José, Costa Rica's capital, is in the Central Valley. It's an extensive plain, surrounded by majestic volcanoes and lush green hills. San José nowadays is a city where visitors all over the world visit, it's truely full of interesting places. This is one of the main reasons we have based our Cultural and Language Experience project here, learn Spanish and experience the traditional Costa Rica.

Whilst on your gap year, help children at risk in San Jose on our Commnity Volunteer Project Costa Rica.

Heredia
Heredia is Costa Rica's smallest province, a town appreciated for its colonial heritage and traditional architecture.

San Carlos
From here you can see Arenal, one of Costa Rica's active volcanoes. If you enjoy working with animals you have the opportunity to work on our Costa Rica Zoo Volunteer project. This is an ideal project if you want hands-on experience with Costa Rica's unique wildlife.

Guanacaste
Generous and warm province, Guanacaste is known for its cattle ranching production and spectacular beaches. It is the driest region of Costa Rica, specially the coastal areas. This makes it the perfect place to volunteer with endangered sea turtles, take part in our Costa Rica Sea Turtle Conservation Programme.
