Costa Rica Turtle and Surf

Reviews

Kate Tyler, 5th July - 2nd August 2009
The hightlights were meeting a fantastic group of people that I will never forget and seeing my first baby turtles making it to the sea on their own! Magic!

Samantha Crisp, 5th - 17th October 2009
I love seeing the baby turtles hatch, they were so cute and getting to release them back into the ocean was amazing and it felt so good to know we were helping to save the lives of these little creatures!!! And seeing a mother turtle dig her nest and lay her eggs and then tag her was really cool, they're magnificient creatures. And I met so many nice people, everyone was so friendly I've made friends from all over the world. And Costa Rica is a beautiful and great country.

My happiest time was seeing a mother turlte lay her eggs, because I hadn't seen any mothers for the first whole week so when I finally saw one, it totally made the night. That night wad a rainy chilly night and we had already walked the whole beach, for 3 hours and then it was on the way back that we found her!! I was so happy and being wet and cold didn't matter afterwards!!

The sun rise and sun set was amazing - I got some amazing pictures of the sun rising and setting with pinks and purples and beautiful colors filling the sky!! They're so beautiful.

The greatest thing I gained was the feeling of knowing that I was doing something that was needed and that I was helping a good cause! I was using my vacation to help these turtles and volunteering is always such a great thing to do.
