Take a cricket gap year and receive cricket training abroad. This is the best way to take time out for aspiring cricket players.
Cricket training abroad is a really popular way to take a sports gap year. Real Sport Experience has a fantastic cricket academy programme in New Zealand, where you receive full-time cricket training abroad. Week days are spent doing cricket training i.e. net sessions, batting practise and fielding drills, while weekends are reserved for games, where you play cricket in New Zealand against local sides.
However, cricket training abroad does not have to be on an academy programme. Many players choose to represent local sides and receive cricket training abroad from the club coaches. Many people play cricket in New Zealand and many other people play cricket in Australia - both are great places for cricket training.
