Peru Spanish Language School
The best way to kick off your time in Latin America is our 4 weeks culture and language experience. It's an exciting way to learn the language, experience the local culture and make new friends.
Learning Spanish Volunteers get so much more out of the Peru volunteer project when they have the confidence to speak Spanish. Whether it is by improving their current language skills or learning the basics for the first time.
This experience starts by giving you a basic grounding in Spanish. Language lessons are conducted in groups with a maximum of 4 students. This means you will get lots of attention and support with learning the language. We make the classes fun too, with role-plays & videos.
Experience the Culture in Peru
The programme includes plenty of trips and excursions for your free time. It's perfect to start off a gap trip to South America as you will get a unique insight to the culture of Peru whilst learning Spanish. The trips include two or three activities per week such as, city tours, cooking class, dance class, parties, videos, lectures, trips to museums.
Project Location
The Language School in Peru is based in Cusco. Please note it takes a few days to get used to the high altitude (Cusco is 11000 feet above sea level!) - you will find yourself short of breath even from leisurely strolls!
Accommodation and Meals
You are personally met at the airport by either your host family or Eduardo (Our friendly representative). Host families' homes generally have two rooms available for volunteers. Volunteers can stay together or separately. All homes have a western toilet, shower and hot water. You will be given a key to the front door so you can come and go as you please.
