Location
Our language school is located in the heart of Quito just a few blocks from the lively and bustling Mariscal district.

Ecuador
There are few places on earth that offer such a sublime variation in landscape and culture as Ecuador. It’s of no surprise, then, that the Andean country is among our most popular and rewarding destinations for the more adventurous traveller. It is an extraordinary country full of adventure, diversity, cuisines, art, and architecture, and it maintains a unique contact with its ancestral indigenous cultures and nature. The smallest of the Andean nations, it remains one of the most biologically diverse countries in the world.

The Andes mountains divide the country and are bounded to the east by the virtually impenetrable Amazon jungle and to the west by Coastal lowlands and exotic Pacific beaches. The Andes are home to the highest active volcano in the world and some of the most spectacular mountain scenery. Ecuador really is a country not to be missed!

Weather
In Ecuador, the seasons are the reverse of those in the northern hemisphere. In May and June, autumn brings warm days and cool nights. Some say the climate is at its best at this time of year in most parts of the country. July marks the beginning of winter in Ecuador, when temperatures vary from around 36 degrees Fahrenheit overnight to 70-80 degrees at midday. Climate is subject to altitude: On the Coast and in the Amazon, the weather is warmer than in the mountains. The weather in the Amazon is often very humid.

Free Time
There will be plenty for you to do in your free time in Ecuador. Look out for information about local events on the notice board in the school entry hall or take part in a group excursion or party. There is a lot to explore in the city and its immediate surroundings including visiting a market or museum.

Ecuador offers a fantastic variety of travelling opportunities that you should take advantage of in your free time, among which the Galapagos Islands are the best-known attraction.

Each week the school will plan a weekend outing for the students to places that you would like to visit. Students can visit tourist attractions such as Baños (a small town at the foot of the Tungurahua volcano), Otavalo (the most famous indigenous market in Ecuador, surrounded by beautiful countryside), Cotopaxi (one of Ecuador’s most famous volcanoes), Papallacta (thermal springs, where you can relax in steaming water whilst enjoying views of the Andes) etc.

The school can also help participants to organise trips like the ones to the Amazon Jungle or Galapagos Islands.

Getting There
You will need to arrange your international flight into Quito airport where you will be met by a representative and transferred to your accommodation.
