This programme will be a rewarding volunteer experience in Ecuador’s capital city of Quito and a local countryside community. Volunteers will work closely with the Ecuadorian people and become truly involved in their way of life. There are many children in Ecuador living in poverty who are not receiving the attention and support that they need. As a volunteer you will play a key role in improving the lives of these children.
Project Age Limit Minimum 18 years, maximum decided on potential participants’ health.
Programme Information The children of Quito, Ecuador and their families need the support of volunteers as many are living in extreme poverty. By working with the children and their families the aim of the project is to alleviate this poverty and help them make a better future for themselves.
The project was initially developed to focus on educational support for children in the suburbs of Quito. The project has grown immensely and now supports around 40 children and the work has diversified to aid children with financial, social and educational problems. Helping in the poorest areas of Quito, the project relies on volunteers who can lend a much-needed helping hand to make a difference in the society.
