Programme Location
Savusavu, Vanua Levu, Fiji (locations will vary according to schedule)

Fiji
Fiji is a tropical Island Nation situated in the South of the Pacific Ocean. It consists of 322 islands, of which only just over 100 are inhabited. In recent years, Fiji has been the setting for a number of films and TV shows, including Tom Hank’s “Castaway,” “Celebrity Love Island” and “Shipwrecked.”

With thousands of white sandy beaches, just as many species of tropical fish and the most amounts of soft corals anywhere in the world, Fiji is a scuba divers’ paradise.

Viti Levu and Vanua Levu
Most of your time on this programme will be spent on the islands of Vanua Levu and Viti Levu (the two largest and main island of Fiji). Viti Levu is home to the famous Coral coast, which is the original tourist destination in Fiji. Vanua Levu offers some of the best diving in Fiji. Considering Fiji has over 300 islands to choose from that is quite an accolade.

Whilst diving in these areas, don’t be surprised to see mantas, barracudas, hammerhead sharks, thousands of hard and soft corals and just as many species of tropical fish.

Koro Sun sites
The local sites are only a few minutes from the scuba diving centre but offer great pelagic, shark, soft coral and swim-through diving. One of these sites, "Dream-house" is renowned in Fiji for its big fish action with large schools of Barracuda and occasional visits by Hammerheads. "Purple Garden" is a wonderland of purple soft corals with topography to take your breath away, including big drop- offs, canyons and swim- throughs.

Savusavu Bay sites
Savusavu Bay offers awesome safe diving in protected water with beautiful coral heads covered in vivid yellow soft corals and an abundance of fish.

Getting There
You will need to arrange to fly into Nadi International Airport, where you will be collected and taken to your accommodation for the first night. A number of international airlines fly to Fiji, however, most fly via the US, New Zealand or Australia. There are code-share flights available too via Amsterdam.
