Galapagos Island Teaching Project Volunteer
Our Real Gap volunteer project gives you can excellent opportunity to teach in South America in one of the best-preserved and exclusive environments in the world. Based on the islands of Isabela and Santa Cruz, the largest and most popular of the Galapagos Islands. Volunteers help to teach underprivileged children at the local schools.
Consider this Galapagos volunteer programme if you wish to teach English in Latin America or if you simply want to help children and experience a new culture. This is not only worthwhile project, but also a rare opportunity to teach and travel one of the most inaccessible destinations on the planet - the Galapagos Islands.
LocationThe project has 2 primary locations in the main towns on the Galapagos Islands of Santa Cruz and Isabela. These Islands are easily reached from the main land by both air and sea. Santa Cruz is the second largest Island of the Galapagos, behind Isabela, which is 4 times larger!
Accommodation and Meals
Most volunteers, Spanish students and interns live in host families. Our onsite staff personally knows all these families. All of their homes meet a standard set by our onsite staff.
The families provide the participants with three meals every day.
Learn SpanishIf you want to volunteer on this project but you can't speak any Spanish or your Spanish language skills are basic, it is advisable to take spanish tuition at our Spanish Language School in Ecuador. This programme can be easily combined with the Spanish language course.
