Real Gap's Galapagos Islands Highlights
Isla Isabella - Puerto Villamil
Isabella Island, is the largest of all of the islands in the Galapagos. The town's beach is a spectacular two-mile stretch of sand. A short five-minute walk from the town, you will find a tucked-away lagoon where you are able to see flamingos. Hikers will appreciate the numerous trails heading inland and up the sides of the Island's volcanoes, from where you can have a spectacular view of the islands and the Pacific Ocean.

One of the most popular reasons for visiting this city are the giant tortoises, who's numbers have dropped dramatically since the arrival of humans to the island. Our Galapagos Island Giant Tortoise Volunteer project gives you the chance to help preserve these ancient creatures whilst visiting one of the most unique destinations in the world.
Isla Santa Cruz - Puerto Ayora Puerto Ayora is located on the southern end of Isla Santa Cruz, the centre of most activity in the Galapagos, it is a charming port town. Also you'll be able to take a look at the old giant tortoise called "Lonesome George". He is the last survivor of his species from the island Pinta and he is well over 50 years old. After the visit you'll be in the right mood to walk to Tortuga Bay (Turtle Bay), believed to be one of the most beautiful beaches of the world.
Santa Cruz is the perfect place to get involved in our Galapagos Islands Environmental Conservation, to help preserve one of the worlds natural wonders. On the Galapagos Island Teaching Project Volunteer you can give something back to the next generation, a rare opportunity to teach and travel one of the most inaccessible destinations in the world.
