Guatemala is one of the poorest countries in Latin America. There are a number of poor communities, which have insufficient funds to have schools and appropriate medical care. As a result, many children do not attend school and have limited structure in their lives. Obviously, this means that many children do not have any sports instruction or any concept of keeping physically fit and healthy.
Real Sport Experience have 2 main programmes in Guatemala. The first is the Sports Development project. On this sports volunteer project, you play a fundamental role in developing sports facilities in a poor community and teaching sports at the community school. The second project involves teaching sports and English at a school.
