Reviews

Philippa Bonsall, 5/5/08 - 17/5/08
A great project! Definitely consider this if you like tortoises and are looking for the opportunity to spend some time in the Galapagos islands, which are some of the most special places for wildlife on this planet.

My recommendations would be to go do the project for two weeks and then have some time visiting the other islands because they are all home to their own endemic species, and look forward for a relaxed time! It is very helpful to be able to speak Spanish to enhance your experience too.

The Galapagos Islands are a once in a lifetime experience, although having now been there once in my lifetime, I would like to make it twice!
Cecile Derny, August 2006
For a positive experience on this programme, I would recommend the following things.
1. The students have to be really interested about animals and tortoises issues
2. The student should have a little experience on working with animals, or at least to know what to expect
3. The student should speak or at least understand some Spanish
