Programme Age Limit
Minimum 18 years, there is no maximum age limit.

Project Support
Throughout your stay in Indonesia you will have the support and guidance of your coordinator and team. You will be provided with competent assistance and help with any questions or advice you may need during your stay.

In addition you will have access to a 24 hour emergency number so you can contact one of our UK staff at any time should you need to.

Project Orientation
Upon arrival in Indonesia you will have an orientation week that, amongst many things, will introduce you to Indonesia culture and provide you with detailed information about the programme and the projects you will be taking part in.

Accommodation and Meals
All accommodation is included for the duration of the programme and types of accommodation will vary at different stages throughout the programme from homestays, guesthouses or hotel accommodation. During your orientation week your accommodation will be at the volunteer centre in Semarang Town. You will be staying in shared bedrooms and will have three meals a day provided.

For Option A - Volunteering, your accommodation will be with an Indonesian host family. Your host family will provide you with accommodation, meals and guidance during your stay. This type of accommodation gives you a great insight into the customs of an Indonesian family and will be an experience that allows you to learn about and understand the Indonesian culture.

For Option B - Adventure option, your accommodation will vary from home stay, guesthouse, or hotel accommodation, on a twin share basis with another participant.

For your beach week you will be staying in guesthouse style accommodation with all meals included.

Meals will be provided and volunteers are more than welcome to help with the preparation of food. Most meals will be based on local Indonesian cuisine so don’t expect too much western cooking! Rice and vegetables will be the main food of the day, even for breakfast, but sometimes breakfasts of toast, boiled egg, cheese and jam will also be served.
