Volunteering in Kenya is a great way to make a positive contribution to those less fortunate than yourself on an gap year in Kenya. To volunteer in Kenya it’s not necessary to possess any specific skills or qualifications – just enthusiasm and a desire to ‘give something back’ on your gap year.

	East Africa Sports Adventure

Sleep under the sky in the African bush, climb Mount Kenya, cross the Samburu and soak up its culture - then go white water rafting, kayaking, river boarding and quad biking on and around the Nile. A proper adventure!


	Kenya Community Development Busia

Help relieve the crippling effect of AIDS on the Kenyan district of Busia. Projects include supporting the older orphans who are left to look after their siblings, improving sanitation and running vocational schemes.


	Kenya Community Outreach

Help provide AIDS victims with food, shelter, emotional support, education and increased awareness of the disease. Children who have lost their parents to AIDS are given the chance of a better future through this programme.


	Kenya Community Sports Programme

This programme is currently unavailable. Please contact us for an alternative programme. Spend 4 weeks on a Kenyan adventure and help to coach a range of sports to children in impoverished rural communities.


	Kenya Gap Experience

Experience life in Kenya from the inside with the Kenya Gap Experience. It includes community work, a wildlife safari, a snorkelling excursion, visits to Diani, beach parties – and an overwhelming sense of achievement.


	Kenya Maasai and Wildlife Volunteer

Take part in two wildlife projects against two stunning backdrops. You’ll carry out work to help protect big cats in the shadow of Mt Kilimanjaro and monitor elephants on the Maasai ranches in a truly back-to-nature experience.


	Kenya Maasai Expedition

Experience raw Africa through the plains of Kenya. You’ll cross its breathtaking landscapes by camel, visit nomadic cultures, help refurbish a village school and see a colourful array of wildlife.


	Kenya Medical and Community Programme

Volunteers with medical qualifications assist in hospitals while those that don’t are just as valuable in the orphanages. Plus, you’ll be involved in tough but very rewarding work to improve life in Nairobi slums.


	Kenya Orphanage and Community Outreach

Huge amounts of emotional and practical support are needed to pull Kenya out of its AIDS hole. You can get involved in two of these projects – bringing new ideas to an orphanage and taking relief supplies to poverty-stricken families.

Immerse yourself in a very different, very welcoming but very poor community and help with academic lessons and sports coaching. Perfect for people wanting to put their interest in sport towards a worthwhile use.

Get involved in building facilities and running training sessions, to help promote sport and health to poor communities. There’s the chance to enjoy beach parties and Kenya’s fascinating culture, too.


	Kenya to Uganda Expedition

Take an overland trip from Nairobi, through the fauna-rich Lake Naivasha National Park and into Uganda. There, you’ll help build essential village facilities before returning to Kenya and setting up camp in Big Five territory.


	Kenya Wildlife Experience

Take part in projects aimed at protecting primates and elephants, with an in depth course in primate conservation. A three-day safari and stunning scenery make it an ideal project if you have an interest in wildlife.
