Firstly may I take this opportunity to give you a massive thank you for all you help arranging my trip to Kenya! It is by far the greatest experience in my life! I will be returning there without a doubt!
The lives that this project has saved, together with the help of the volunteers from all over the world is incredible and something to be proud of, and something that Real Gap should be proud of being a part of also! I witnessed so many people who benefited from the volunteers' help in my time there, too many to note! |

On my first day I went to an area called Matili, where I was shown an unprotected spring. It was stagnant water, which was used by approximately 80 families in the community. It touched me so much that I decided this was one of the projects I wanted to work on.
Overall my experiences in Kenya have been fantastic. I have never cried so much (particularly when I had to leave!) but it is one of the best things I have ever done. I will always hold a place for this programme in my heart and in particular the people I met along the way. |
