An Example Itinerary for the 1-month Programme
This is an example itinerary and will be subject to change. For those wanting to take part in a 2 or 3 month programme your itinerary will involve more community and conservation work. A typical itinerary for 4 weeks on this programme runs as follows:
Day 1 Arrival in Mombasa and be met at the airport for your transfer to the project
Days 2-3 2-day arrival orientation including a basic lesson in Swahili.
Day 4-6 Community Project Work
Day 7 Indian Ocean beach chill out day
Day 8-9 Community Project Work
Day 10-11 Beach days and excursions
Day 12-14 Community Project Work
Day 15 Indian Ocean beach chill out day
Day 16-18 Big Game Safari
Day 19 Indian Ocean beach BBQ
Day 20-24 Conservation project work (eg at the Elephant Sanctuary)
Day 25-26 Indian Ocean beach chill out days and excursions
Day 27-28 Final project days and farewell. Depart project
