The fact that all my activities, accomodation and everything was organised for me. It was a real weight off my mind considering this was my first trip like this and I wouldn't have had a clue where to start if I had been doing it myself! |

Travelling to a country that is so different from the one you live in really makes you think about the way that you are living your life. I admit that I will still take hot showers, but I imagine that my attitude towards things I ‘need' to have will shift as I acknowledge what I already do have.
I now have a little circle of friends over in Kenya that I will continue to stay in contact with, and hopefully visit again. Moral of the story: I LOVED IT! |

The accommodation had everything I needed, from a bed to showers (cold ones- but that was refreshing at most times given the hot environment we were in)! The staff at camp were a huge factor to my experience, they were welcoming, helpful and like family to me.
Africa has taught me there is so much more to life, there is no need for me to worry over half the things I did. It has made me appreciate all the things I have but also appreciate the people who are different to me. I am a much calmer person and there has not been a day gone by since that I have not thought about Kenya without a smile on my face. |
