Daily Itineraries

Your theoretical training will be covered in the first 3 days, whilst the remainder of the month will be spent at a rural community school with the pupils.

A typical day during your 3-day training period will be structured as follows:

  • An early morning activity such as a bush walk or game drive
  • Breakfast
  • Classroom learning session
  • Take a short break
  • Continue with classroom learning session
  • Have a break for lunch
  • Classroom activity 
  • Short break
  • Rest period / evening activity such as a game drive
  • Evening meal
  • Free time

Please note: that this itinerary is intended as a guideline only and may vary. For the remainder of the month you will be working a 5 and ½ day week, with Saturday afternoons and Sundays as your free time. 

During this period your daily schedule will be as follows:

  • An Early morning activity such as a Game drive or walk
  • Breakfast
  • Visit to a local school and feed the children (feeding children - Rural Community School Feeding and Sports Education Project and Roots & Shoots Projects only)
  • Practical sport training (Rural Community School Feeding and Sports Education Project and Roots & Shoots Projects only) or Practical START application period
  • Lunch break
  • Afternoon sport activity (Rural Community School Feeding and Sports Education Project and Roots & Shoots Projects only) or a community activity
  • Rest period / evening activity
  • Evening meal
  • Free time

During your free time on Saturday afternoons and Sundays there are a variety of optional excursions that you can take part in (available at an extra cost).
