Learn to Surf in Australia

Learn to surf at some of Australia’s most pristine white sand beaches. Travel the New South Wales north coast; living a surfer's dream of freedom, good waves and good times – nothing could be better! Whether you are taking a full gap year to Australia or are there as part of a round the world trip, learning to surf is an absolute must.

We will find the best un-crowded waves for progressing your surfing from beginner to advanced. Our instructors will take you through all the basics and by the end of the week you will have learnt the following:

Standing up
Paddling
Wave selection
Ocean knowledge
Turning
Taking the drop
Cutting across waves

This surf trip embraces the surfer’s way of life. Expect some fun on-tour parties and jam sessions! Also, expect to see an abundance of Aussie native wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies and big lizards – dolphins are common surf companions too!

The north coast of New South Wales, Australia.

Accommodation and Meals

Cabin accommodation is provided for three nights, starting at a purpose-built surf camp in an area renowned for great waves and natural beauty. As you travel the coast, you will stay in other cabin locations situated by the best uncrowded beaches the north coast has to offer. One night will be spent beachside camping in the remote Yuraygir National Park.

Upon arrival into Byron Bay, accommodation is guaranteed (payable when you arrive) - a great chance to spend a few days practising your new surfing skills and chilling out with your new friends!

All meals are included; great Aussie barbeques, beach buffets, salads, pastas and vegetarian options.
