Malawi Malawi is one of Africa’s most untouched countries. With lower levels of tourism than most of its neighbours, it has managed to remain one of the most authentic and unspoilt countries, while maintaining many of Africa’s unique attractions.
However, Malawi has many people in need of volunteer assistance and most people live on less than 30 pence a day. Your efforts can have a massive impact on the people of Malawi.
Getting There You will need to fly into Malawi’s capital city Lilongwe, where you will be picked up and then transferred to Monkey Bay. British Airways, South African Airways and Air Zimbabwe all operate flights from London to Lilongwe.
Depending on your arrival time in Lilongwe you will either be transferred by road (approximately 3.5 hours) to Monkey Bay, or will stay overnight in comfortable B&B accommodation and will travel to Monkey Bay the following day.
