The country of Malaysia offers some amazing contrasts. Whilst Kuala Lumpur is a rapidly expanding, modern, and hi-tech city, the world’s oldest rainforests can be found in the countryside. There is a vast abundance of jungle and wildlife for visitors to explore.
As well as the stunning beauty of the peninsular and Borneo, Malaysia, the country also boasts perfect deserted beaches and awe-inspiring mountains, making it an amazing place to travel. There is no end to Malaysia’s highlights – with so many cultures packed into one place, there is just so much to explore.

Getting There
You will need to arrange your flights to Kuala Lumpur airport, where you will be met. Then you will have a welcome dinner with other volunteers and your supervisors. You’ll have time to explore the city, and then it’s off to the zoo.
Climate
Malaysia enjoys a tropical climate. From November to February the monsoon brings rains to the country. The dry season runs from March to October. Malaysia has an average temperature of 30°C.
