Many people are choosing to take a martial arts gap year. Martial arts training abroad is becoming increasingly popular, with many people looking to learn kung fu in China or study kung fu abroad. The benefits of a gap year studying martial arts are not restricted to the health or even mental benefits. It is also a great way to learn something new and show you have used your sports gap year well.
There are many forms of martial arts you can study. Real Sport Experience have 2 main forms - Chinese Kung Fu and Muay Thai or Thai Boxing. Learning kung fu in China is our most popular programme, due to the opportunity to study many different forms of martial arts. These include praying mantis fist, Sanda (Chinese kick-boxing), Shaolin form and Tai Chi. You also study directly from Shaolin Masters, most of whom have been former martial arts champions.
