Chisinau
Chisinau is a significant political, economic, scientific and cultural centre of the Republic of Moldova. The city is located on seven hills and stretches over 120 km. Two rivers, the Bic and Isnovat cross through the city. The population of Chisinau is over 752,000. Moldova experiences moderate winters and warm summers.
Weekend travel
There are a number of highlights that you may like to see in your free time at weekends, such as the town of Chisinau or the surrounding area.
The project staff will be happy to help you organise excursions while you are there, so please discuss the options with them. Alternatively, you may wish to just relax around the house, so feel free to do just that!
Getting There
You will need to arrange your flights to Chisinau International Airport.
On arrival you will have a meet and greet with one of the project representatives.
Depending on the time of your arrival, there will be time to relax, take a shower and unpack. There will be an informal meeting to welcome you and to confirm the time of the orientation meeting the following day.
