Gap Year Brochure

If you travel to Namibia on your gap year you’ll be visiting one of Africa’s best kept secrets. Travelling to Namibia enables you to see some of Africa’s best wildlife in a country which attracts far few visitors than more famous destinations such as South Africa and Kenya. A large portion desert, Namibia is a fascinating and educational destination at which to spend your gap year or career break. Blessed with rich natural resources, a solid modern infrastructure and diverse traditional cultures, it is a beautiful country of vast potential.

An essential place to visit if you travel to Namibia is Etosha National Park, which covers 8000 miles and is home to an incredible range of wildlife – including leopard and cheetah. Other great places to visit if you’re travelling to Namibia include the awesome Namibia Fish River Canyon and Sossusvlei.

An excellent option for gap year Namibia travel if you’d like to get involved with wildlife conservation on your gap year is to take part in volunteer work on one of Real Gap’s excellent Namibia volunteer programmes. For example you could travel to Namibia and care for orphaned or injured animals at the inspirational ‘Noah’s Ark’ project.
