I loved it from day one, got settled in and just went with the flow !! some of my highlights were cleaning out the baboon waterhole, we had to go in there wearing just shorts, bucket out all of the dirty water, scub and clean it, then re-fill with clean water, trying to do this with 16 wet baboons jumping all over you was so much fun, not easy when they try to pinch your bucket, spades and brushes thinking it a game !!! also loved being in with the cheetahs, getting so close to them was amazing, i just loved to whole project and didnt want to come home !!!

it was fantastic! everyone made me feel really welcome and the opertunities i had were once in a life time ones like sleeping with a baby baboon in my bed and chucking meat over to a lion.
if you have the time i would strongly recomend this project!

I have so many incredible memories (and photographs!) from my time at the Namibian Wildlife Sanctuary. My favourite parts include sleeping with the baby baboons, sitting in the sun with three gorgeous tame cheetahs and relaxing by the campfire in the evenings. Although you do have to work hard, every single moment is enjoyable, and the staff are so friendly and helpful...even the food is great! I really recommend this project, and would love to return in the near future :)

Loved every minute of it! Time on the farm was great because you got hands - on experience with all the animals, including cheetahs! Going out on research was also amazing because you got to see so many animals in the wild.

I went out completely alone, for the first time ever, and made amazing friends so I would recommend this project to anyone with a passion for animals and meeting new people!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Namibia Wildlife Sanctuary, especially riding on the back of the green dream machine, whilst doing game counts and looking for cheetah and leopard spoors (footprints) etc. Feeling the air blow into your face is fantastic.

I loved feeding and walking the baby baboons. They always looked as though they were in heaven whilst drinking from their bottle. Stroking the 3 adult cheetahs was also amazing. They purr so beautifully, and feeding the cheeky meerkats was fun too. They liked playing with my shoelaces. I was only there for two weeks but will miss the place badly. I would love to go back and visit sometime in the future. The staff really made me feel at home and they looked after us well. Food is good too. :o)

It was an absolutely amazing experience! We were so hands-on all the time, and the level of trust added to the feeling that we were really making a difference. Some of the things I did were unbelievable, every day something new happened. It was a constant learning experience, and has got me really excited about studying zoology. I even hope to bring my sister back one day!

Travelling by myself was a lot more exciting than I thought, I mostly thought it would be scary!

I thought the programme was well planned by the people running it, the volunteer manger was very welcoming to suggestions made by us - which was important. I felt part of the project and it was like a big family. Everyone was caring and supportive.
