Volunteer OptionsThere is a choice of volunteer placements on this programme, including:
- Teaching in a local school
- Teaching in a monastery & learning Buddhism
- Working at an orphanage
- Working at a health post or in a hospital
- Construction
Fun Activities - Included in the cost of the programme is a 2-day visit to Chitwan National Park. You can ride an elephant and observe the magnificent local Rhinoceros and Royal Bengal Tigers. You will visit a baby elephant centre, a local village, go on adventurous jungle walk and even learn the local dance! We’ll also show you around the main sights in the capital – Kathmandu. We can also help you arrange extra activities such as trekking, rafting and jungle safaris.
AccommodationYou will stay with a friendly local family in the village where you teach. A home-stay is a unique opportunity to experience the real Nepal, become part of the family and really tap into the local way of life.
Project LocationYou will be based in Kathmandu, Pokhara or Chitwan.
